Effect of diesel detergent synergists on VOCs emissions from engine

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this study, the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions from engine fueled diesel with and without detergent synergist were measured by gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The test results show that compared reference fuel (without synergist), use of different synergists has effects on VOCs while after-treatment device. Whether or device, alkanes always account for highest proportion fuels synergists. After-treatment device oxidation catalyst coupled particulate filter (DOC+DPF) high catalytic efficiency fuels, most could reach more than 95%. With treatment device, the concentrations carcinogens (detected in study) are far lower specified standard GBZ 2.1-2007 “Occupational Exposure Limits Hazardous Factors Workplace Chemical Factors”, respectively. indicate will not have an adverse impact human health it can be safely used.

Influence of Biodiesel from Egyptian Used Cooking Oils on Performance and Emissions of Diesel Engine

Due to diminishing petroleum reserves and the environmental negative effects of exhaust gases from diesel engines, alternative fuels for diesel engines are becoming increasingly important Egyptian waste cooking oils have special specifications because it expose to high temperatures during use for long hours. In the present experimental study, the performance and emissions of a four strokes, sin...

Evaluate the effect of biodiesel and EGR system on diesel engine emissions

Vehicle Emission is one of the main causes of environmental damage. Vehicle engines produce carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbon (HC), Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and many other harmful substances. An investigation was conducted using a compression-ignition engine fuelled with different ratios of blends of diesel and biodiesel at different EGR rates. The effects of different ratios of fuel blends and EG...

Effect of Engine Operating Parameters and Fuel Characteristics on Diesel Engine Emissions

To examine the effects of using synthetic Fischer-Tropsch (FT) diesel fuel in a modern compression ignition engine, experiments were conducted on a MY 2002 Cummins 5.9 L diesel engine outfitted with high pressure, common rail fuel injection, a variable geometry turbo charger, cooled EGR and a fully configurable engine management computer. Additionally, the effect of varied injection timing and ...

Ecological Impacts of Diesel Engine Emissions

This article deals with the ecological impacts of chemical substances that are found in the structure of Diesel engine exhaust gases and provides an overview of legislation that limits their maximum allowable emissions. Special consideration is given to the previously mostly neglected negative impact of particulate matter compared to the impact of carbon dioxide. Negative impact of particulates...

Secondary organic aerosol production from modern diesel engine emissions

Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) production was observed at significant levels in a series of modern diesel exhaust (DE) aging experiments conducted at the European Outdoor Photoreactor/Simulation Chamber (EUPHORE). The greatest production occurred in DE with toluene addition experiments (>40%), followed by DE with HCHO (for OH radical generation) experiments. A small amount of SOA (3%) was obse...
